The Unique Identification Authority of India has launched the mAadhaar app. Through this, users can sync the Aadhaar card to mobile. The mAadhaar app is currently on the Android platform. Users can download it from ‘Google Play Store’.
(UIDAI) official Twitter has also been told that it is only for users who have a mobile number register with the aadhaar. This app is currently in beta version. Keeping in mind the security, it has been given biometric locking feature. The lock can only unlock by the user. Not only that, TOTP has also been taken care of in this. In this time, time based one time password will be generated.
After this app you will no longer need to carry the base in paper-format. You can show the Aadhar card on your smartphone.
The mAadhaar app is available on Google Play Store and it is currently only offered for Android users. But it is expected that soon it will come with other formats, which will be compatible for different smartphones.
To use this app, the user’s mobile number must be linked to its aadhaar number.
If you are buying a new SIM card, you do not need to give a hard copy of the Aadhaar card. You can give your information to the service provider through mAadhaar.
The mAadhaar app can download user aadhaar number to your smartphone and after that it will not need hard copy.
This app has biometric lock / unlock feature, so the data kept in it will be perfectly secure. Let’s suggest that this lock can also be removed by the user according to his wishes.
This app has a Time Based One Time Password (TOTP) system, which is different from traditional SMS-based OTP. With this, another good thing is that in this app EKYC data will also be available, which can be protected with QR code and password.
How to Use mAadhaar App :
To access all these features of mAdhaar you need to download this app from the Google Play Store. After app download, you have to make a password as the first step. After this you have to enter your Aadhaar card number.
After this you will get OTP on your registered mobile number, which must be entered here. After the OTP validation, all the information about your aadhaar will be found there.
Beware of Fake App :
There are many Fake apps in the name of the ‘mAadhaar’ on Google Play Store. Users need to be careful with these. The original mAdhaar app will be written as ‘Unique Identification Authority of India’ and the aadhaar will be attached to the logo. Click here to download the app.
After the base app is configured, your Aadhaar card will be stored in the profile, number, address and other detail app. Users can share their base profiles and data through third party application through NFC and QR code through the app.
To download and use the maadhaar app, your mobile number and smartphone must be same.You will not be able to save your aadhaar number in someone else’s smartphone.As soon as you complete the process and enter your Aadhaar number, your registered number will receive an OTP. This OTP needs to be verified for you. Only then will your aadhaar profile be set up with the mobile app.Verification will not work if mobile number is not active.
